Shhhhh!  This photo session was done as a surprise gift for their mom's upcoming birthday!

  Beautiful sister, Mary, and her two brothers, Jose and Jamie, showed up for our session dressed to impress.  I'm sure that their Mom is going to be very proud of her children when she sees her photographs :)

Rainy Day Beach Wedding

Okay - so it rained during Mic & Evelyne's outdoor beach wedding.  Did it ruin the day?  Absolutely not!

This couple is my very favorite kind of bride and groom.  The kind that doesn't let anything get in the way of making their special day nothing short of perfect no matter what happens.

The ceremony took place at Alders Beach Resort in Merville and it was a lovely venue for the wedding.  I didn't stay for the reception, but it was being catered by Plates Eatery and I must say, it was all looking mighty tasty!

Guests huddled around under umbrellas for the ceremony and seemed happy doing so.  I also have to give credit the wedding party too for toughing it out in the wind and cold for photos.  I hope it was worth it!

This gorgeous couple also did a special ceremony where 50 butterflies were released.  It took a little coaxing to get them to come out and fly around, but it was a very beautiful idea.

 Congratulations to Mic and Evelyne and I truly hope you enjoy looking at these images!

Raw Hair

I know that a lot of people that are local to the Comox Valley are going to be excited about this (especially Cumberland folk)!  Extremely talented and highly sought after hair stylist, Kim Thomas, is opening her own hair studio, Raw Hair, in Cumberland.  After a short hiatus following the birth of her son, Kim has decided to put her creative talents back to use and make you and your hair very happy indeed!  

Kim wanted to do a photo shoot to kick things off and we pulled everything together within a couple of days, did the shoot and here are the results!

Boyd Family + Baby Bump!

Whoever is living inside this little baby bump is going to be born into a very sweet family with no shortage of love to go around!

Just like yesterday's post, this session also occurred during my camping trip over the long weekend out at Miracle Beach!  The Boyd family is from Powell River and mama was given the session as a gift.  They happened to be coming to town the same weekend of my camping trip.  I was definitely keen to do the session, so they drove out to meet me and it worked out great :)

The DeMagnusson's

A couple of days ago, I posted some photos of little Aria's solo session and now, here is the rest of the family!  Jeff, Helene, Max and Aria are friends of ours, who came to visit from Vancouver for the long weekend.

We somehow managed to get this photo shoot done during a camping trip out at Miracle Beach.  It was a little hectic, but we found a lot of cool little spots to take photos.
