Raw Hair - Dreamy Cumberland Girls

When Kim from Raw Hair approached me about doing a photo shoot to showcase her talents in hair, I jumped right on it.  I have not done a lot of fashion photo shoots, but when I have it has always been so much fun and I was pretty sure  that Kim and I could whip up something magical :)  Our main theme for the photo shoot was for the images to have a dreamy quality.  Although the weather managed to destroy some of our plans, we worked with what we were handed.  Kim also invited Lauren from Lauren McLean Esthetics to do make up and she did an absolutely stunning job on our three gorgeous Cumberland models.  By the way, do you recognize these beauties?

Thanks to all of the women who were involved in this photo shoot.  It was super awesome fun times and I am actually quite proud of the results.  I can't wait to do it again in the summer, right Kim?!

Teneille & Her Baby Bump

Well, this is going to be a big post folks.  Teneille is one of my dearest friends, so when it came to narrowing down the images to share with you, I had a hard time choosing.  The fact that Teneille is so gorgeous only complicated things further :)

We decided to make an afternoon of our session and headed over to Hornby Island.  Although it turned out to be a cloudy day and some of our plans for photos had to be changed because of that, it was still a lovely day and I think we managed to capture some beautiful photographs.

Teneille is the owner of Firefly on 5th Street, so she is well versed in anything to do with pregnancy and babies and she is ready and waiting for her second baby to arrive in a few weeks.

Shewfelt Family

I met the Shewfelt family in Comox at Brooklyn Creek Park for our session, as they spend a lot of time in the woods there as a family.  Everything is starting to look so lush and green, it is really beautiful in there!  We finished up at the Filberg Park, which is always lovely :)

The Shewfelts seem to be a very relaxed and easy going family and they were naturals in front of the camera.  They had no troubles getting nice and cozy with each other for some cute family photos.

Baby Cameron

Cameron is such an adorable little man!  At four weeks old, he was incredibly expressive and aware.  Although his mama expressed her love of black & white photographs, I couldn't resist posting a couple of colour images because he has such big, beautiful, blue eyes :)

Cameron was on the edge of sleep for our entire session, but he never quite fell into a deep enough sleep for us to be able to position him, but he was amazing anyways and put up with a lot.  He was falling asleep as I packed up my gear, and I'm sure that he gave his mama a break and had a nice long nap after I left.
