The Zaal Family - Welcome Carter

I was asked by fellow Cumberland portrait photographer Tara Zaal of New Leaf Photography to photograph her family.  They welcomed the arrival of baby boy, Carter two months prior to our session.  Normally I would recommend doing newborn photos earlier, but because Carter was born 6 weeks early, he was still a sleepy, cooperative little guy.  I was totally blown away by how adorable and photogenic Carter and his big sister, Kylie were.  

We started our session inside and then ventured out for a few shots at the end.  Although it is always a little extra nerve-wracking photographing a photographer, I still had a lot of fun :)

Family Get Together - Better Late Than Never (I hope)

This was supposed to be blogged last week!  My work flow was seriously interrupted by that whopping storm we had that knocked out the power.  My family was headed out on vacation the following day, so work had to get put on hold!  Many apologies to this patient family!

This adorable basket full of babies and their parents were in town for the weekend visiting their lucky grandparents to celebrate a first birthday.  These little ones are pretty close to the same ages, so it's hard to tell who the birthday boy is - but it's the cool looking dude on the left in this first image.  Happy Birthday Sir!!!

Thanks to this whole family (which just happens to contain a couple of my besties) for the fun!!!

Baby Cruz

This little guy was welcomed into a lovely family, including a beautiful (and funny) older sister!  Cruz seemed to be most comfy being with his sister too.  He's even got a little smile on his face in this first photo :)

This session had it's sleepy moments for sure, but Cruz was more interested in staying awake and drinking milk than posing for photos...we tricked him into a few though.
